1.1. MEDEL CHECK Features
MEDEL CHECK is a fully automatic, digital blood pressure measuring device with
integrated Average mode - CHECK3 technology for use on the upper arm. MEDEL
CHECK enables very fast and reliable measurement of the systolic and diastolic
blood pressure as well your pulse by use of the oscillometric method.
Average mode - CHECK3 technology is a new type of concept for optimum reliability
in self-measurement of blood pressure.
MEDEL CHECK is easy to use and is proven in clinical studies to provide excellent
accuracy. This device is validated by a protocol (Protocol for the evaluation of
blood pressure measuring) created by the British Hypertension Society.
MEDEL CHECK has obtained, thanks to its accuracy, the highest evaluation level:
Systolic pressure - A Degree
Diastolic pressure - A Degree1.2. Important information about check-measurement
• Do not forget: self-measurement means control, not diagnosis or treatment.
Unusual values must always be discussed with your doctor.
Under no circumstances should you alter the dosages of any drugs prescribed
by your doctor.
• The pulse display is not suitable for checking the frequency of heart pacemakers!
• In cases of cardiac irregularity (Arrhythmia), measurements made with this
instrument should only be evaluated after consultation with the doctor.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION OF THE ACCESSORIES
After each treatment:
The nebulizer, mouthpiece and nosepiece must be disinfected by boiling with water
(max. 10 minutes) or in autoclave (max. 121°C). We suggest you disinfect the mask
and the angled mounthpiece using cold disinfecting liquids (solutions with hypochlorite).
Dry the nebulizer using a clean cloth; after connect it to the air outlet switch the device on and let it work freely for 10-15 minutes.
Do not boil nor autoclave the air tube, the mask and the
angled mounthpiece.
Following carefully the cleaning and disinfecting instructions
is very important for the product performance and for a successful
therapy.
REPLACEMENT OF THE NEBULIZER
The nebulizer must be replaced after a long period of inactivity, or when it is
obstructed by dry medication, dust, etc.
Your nebulizer should last from 6 months to 1 year with general use.
Use original MEDELJET nebulizers only.
REPLACEMENT OF THE FILTER
The filter must be replaced approximately after 30 hours of use, or when it turns
dirty; open the filter holder to replace the filter with a new
one. Use original filters only.

Automatic blood pressure monitors
There are many different kinds of home blood pressure monitor, but it is easiest to use a monitor that is fully automatic (digital). Choose one that measures your blood pressure at your upper arm, rather than at your wrist or finger. Upper-arm blood pressure monitors usually give the most accurate and consistent results.

Make sure your monitor is accurate
This means that the digital monitor has gone through a series of tests to make sure it gives results that you and your doctor can trust.

Make sure you have the right cuff size
An upper-arm blood pressure monitor will come with a cuff that you need to wrap around your arm. If you use a cuff that is the wrong size for you, your blood pressure reading will not be correct. Measure around your upper arm at the midpoint between your shoulder and elbow, and choose your cuff size from the chart below.
