We are doing health screenings today between 9am-12pm outside the Pharmacy in collaboration with the Strandfontein Diabetic Club.

We are be doing glucose checks,blood pressure checks, counselling on medicine and correct insulin usage, as well as the importance of diet and exercise.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, with 14 November recognized internationally as World Diabetes Day.

This event is open to all !!
We would like to create awareness on this disease, as many patients are uncontrolled and there are many that are unaware they may have diabetes.

ANNUAL FLU VACCINATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT WAVECREST PHARMACY !!!!!💉💉

A nurse will be available at the Pharmacy from 17h30-18h30 to administer the vaccine.

All vaccinations will take place on TUESDAYS,WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS.

COST: R125 (Adults and Children)
PENSIONERS: R105

**Most medical aids will cover the vaccination.**

November is Diabetes Month !!!

Join us this Saturday, 25th November 2023 for Free Diabetes screening !!

Time: 9am-12pm
Place: Wavecrest Pharmacy, outside in the courtyard.

We will be working in collaboration with the Strandfontein Diabetic Support Group to raise awareness on this important issue that affects so many. We will be performing free testings and educating on medicine use,as well as insulin use. There will also be information available on correct diet to follow to control this condition.

All are welcome !!

**WORLD DIABETES DAY EVENT 2022**

This Saturday on 12th November 2022 at 9am-12pm, we will be hosting a Diabetes day Event outside the Pharmacy in collaboration with the Strandfontein Diabetic Club.

We will be doing glucose checks, counselling on medicine and correct insulin usage, as well as the importance of diet and exercise.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, with 14 November recognized internationally as World Diabetes Day.

Type 2 diabetes is called the "silent killer" and is an escalating pandemic - with one in 11 people living with diabetes, and predictions of worldwide prevalence exceeding 578 million by 2030.

Diabetes is a serious condition, causing millions of deaths globally per year.
Worryingly, as much as 50% of people living with diabetes don't know they have it.

This event is open to all !!
