Every day our patients see us and yet they don't see us. Everyone around them is wearing a mask and visor/goggles. Patients never see our full faces. They never see our empathy and our love we radiate from our faces daily.

We are requesting help from a printing company or the donation of items that we can use to make the cards ourselves (printer; photo paper; printer ink ; laminating machine and plastic sleeves; and lanyards)

We would like to print out and laminate smiling photos of the staff in ICU and High Care units so that our patients can put a face to us.

Please let us know if you can help.

Couldn’t be prouder of this amazing friend and happy 2nd birthday to the best team.

GSH Lung transplant unit couldn't have asked for a better recipient to take the first breath for the programme.

Helping Lungs Grow

“Helping Lungs Grow”

From a young age I've always enjoyed helping people. My passion for seeing others happy and comfortable is partly why I became a Physiotherapist.

The satisfaction one feels to see your patients breathe easier, or the goosebumps that rise when you see your lung transplant recipient take their first breath with their brand new lungs is indescribable. It’s for moments like these that I became a physiotherapist, and its for moments like these that I have this special interest in rehabilitating anyone who has the difficulty to breathe.

I have seen Pulmonary Rehabilitation change lives, giving patients a new lease on life and giving them the opportunity to live their life to the fullest. This page has been created to help create awareness around organ donation and respiratory health. Our main goal is to educate people about respiratory health and how organ donation can save lives.
