Bind Movement Private, small-group and corporate Yoga, Pilates and Functional training classes in Cape Town My love for movement has always been a central part of my life.

I am thrilled to share my journey in the world of movement, health and wellness with you. In 2017 I completed my Sport Science degree and since then I've deepened my expertise through a 100-hour certification in children's yoga, a 200-hour yoga certification, a Beginners & Intermediate Mat Pilates course (along with Pilates accessories and Pilates for Prenatal Women). It's this passion that drives me to assist others on their personal wellness journey. My philosophy is simple: whether it's yoga, Pilates, or any form of movement, I believe in approaching it mindfully, focusing on strengthening both body and mind in a holistic manner. What excites me most, is helping you discover that movement isn't just about what happens on your mat – it's a complete system that will enhance every aspect of your life. I'm fully remote, which means I bring my expertise directly to you, wherever you feel most comfortable – at your home or a preferred personal space. Together, we can embark on a journey that's not just about physical fitness but about enriching your overall well-being.

✨ Lessons I’ve learnt as a Pilates instructor that I didn’t realise would shape me into the teacher I am today.

When I first started teaching, I thought being “good” meant knowing everything.

Having all the answers, making every class perfect, and inventing something new every time.

But over the years, I’ve learnt that what truly matters isn’t perfection, its presence.

It’s understanding why you’re teaching what you teach.
It’s caring deeply about helping people move and feel better in their bodies 
It’s being willing to learn, adapt, and YES, even make mistakes.
It’s showing up as yourself — curious, human, and still growing.

The best teachers aren’t the ones who know it all, they’re the ones who stay open, observant, and genuinely connected to their students. So if you’re a new instructor, remember:
You don’t need 20 years of experience (don’t get me wrong, experience is always a helpful tool) but what you need is; heart, humility, and curiosity.

Keep learning, keep showing up, and trust that you’ll grow into the teacher you’re meant to be 🤍

Your core isn’t just about strength - it’s about awareness, control, and connection. Once you learn to truly engage it, everything else starts to shift ✨

1️⃣ Draw deep, not shallow– think of gently drawing your belly button towards your spine, activating your deep transverse abdominals. True stability comes from the inside out.

2️⃣ Create full-body connection – your core doesn’t work alone. Let your glutes, legs, and arms support your movement too - everything connects.

3️⃣ Breathe into it – inhale to expand through your ribs, exhale to find that deep core brace without gripping or collapsing in your spine.

4️⃣ Pelvic & rib awareness – keep your pelvis neutral (intermediate) or imprint for beginners and ribs anchored - especially when the exercises start to challenge your form.

5️⃣ Mind-to-muscle connection – move with intention. Feel your obliques, lower abs, and stabilisers supporting you with each rep.

Doing a strength based Pilates class while pregnant is no joke guys 🤣

Moving my body has felt so SO different over the past 4 weeks. I’ve had an increase in pressure and weight with our little girl growing so well 🥹🤍

And while I’m so grateful that she’s healthy and growing, I’ve also had days of tears and irritation. I know how good my body can feel and I understand that this is not necessarily the time it’s going to feel the best but it’s important for me to still move it in a way that does feel REALLY GOOD ⚡️✨ so that’s what I’ve been doing and these little stretches are a moment for me in my day and for my little bean too 🤍
