Padel is taking Cape Town by storm — but so are the injuries!
Ankles, knees, calves and Achilles tendons are the most commonly affected areas due to the quick stops, jumps and twists the game demands.
💡 Prevention tips:
Don’t skip your warm-up — add 10 minutes of dynamic movement before your game.
Wear padel or clay-court shoes for better grip and ankle support.
Stretch your legs, forearms, and lower back after play to reduce tightness and speed up recovery.
If you’re feeling pain or stiffness after a game, physiotherapy can help with treatment, recovery and injury prevention.
