February is here and we are excited with our new project moving forward amidst all the challenges we are facing.

We at Life Changers Foundation believe that when our entrepreneurship & skills school is up and running a big gap will be filled in the unemployment rate as we aim to educate, up skill and see many new successful businesses opening.

Continue to pray for us as we put our hands to the plow on this very big LCF dream.

Happy New Year and a super successful 2023 to everyone!

2023 is here and we are excited to see what the year holds, we believe for many lives to go from hurt to healed, for relationships from broken to restored and more than ever to see unemployed to skilled, equipped and employed.

As we embark on our new up skilling education program, we would like to thank all our partners and friends for the continual support.

Life Changers Foundation embarks on a new chapter it’s been 17 years of faithfully serving the communities of Ottery and the greater Cape Flats. As an organisation, we have been involved in countless gang mediations and have saved lives by rendering this service. We ran our court diversion programmes and afforded our clients a second chance at a “Criminal record free life”. Our Wednesday evening support group has restored dignity into many homes. Our feeding scheme programmes has not only serviced the community of Ottery, but has stretched across various parts of the Cape Flats.

Remembering our safe houses which allowed us to see young men and women come from dark/ challenging backgrounds to make positive changes walking into sobriety and flourishing in their new way of living.

Learnerships and programmes enabled employment were we offered free computer courses to the community.
Our partnership with the Education Department allowed us to have an evening school where learners obtained a National Grade 12 certificate. Many other accredited programmes saw people opening up their own businesses, some of which are successfully rendering services and providing employment to people.

Our kids after care, holiday programmes, kids social care and counselling has given children a chance to be children in a safe, love filled environment.

Sadly, Life Changers Foundation will be moving out of Ottery as the Word of faith Baptist church are no longer able to accommodate a shared space. We have been offered 3 available spaces on the outskirts of the Cape Flats of which we will communicate to the public by 20th January 2023. We have equipped other organisations to run support groups and we now can safely say it’s time for us to embark on Life Changers’ next phase as we evolve into two organisations.

Life Changers Skills Development Centre where we are partnering with Education Department and other accredited tertiary institutions as well as NGO’s. Our focus shifting from addiction to Training & Development.

Secondly our new NPO birthed out of Life Changers Foundation KIDZ.COM will solely focus on providing preventive programmes for kids under 16 years old. We will also see the international programme“my body is my body” program implemented here.

We would like to thank everyone who has journeyed with us whether by serving, donating or affording us the opportunity to walk alongside families over the many years. We encourage people to stay connected and to watch our page and website for further developments.

A blessed Christmas and a prosperous 2023 to all our amazing friends and family.

Please keep the Cape Flats, especially the people living in the suburb of Mitchells Plain in your prayers. Many families are living in fear and uncertainty of what dangers the latest killing would bring.

Can we pray for the end to the gang wars and killings that has become a norm to so many communities on the Cape Flats.

We are losing generations of young men and woman to this stupid thing we call GANG.

GANG has created generations of cold hearted psychopathic killers and it’s as if we turn a blind eye to the cold hearted brutally we are witnessing daily.

Prayer demands action and since government is failing to take this issue seriously enough, it’s time normal citizens realize that how mentoring one boy or girl on the Cape Flats could change the trajectory of a life that has very little chance of survival if it’s not given the much needed guidance into adulthood.

This is what breaking a generational curse of drug addiction & poverty looks like. If you told the little girl in that photo that she would be living the life I am now, I wouldn’t believe it. I wanted so badly to have normal parents & a stable surrounding but felt like I couldn’t ever “get out.” PLOT TWIST!! I did. I got out & I became the stable adult I needed as a kid.

I’m making this post in hopes that it reminds any child who has dealt with family addiction, poverty, & lack of guidance that you don’t have to live the life you were born into. Aim to be the adult you needed & never stop working on that person. It’s far from easy but so worth it. I promise

Monday 27th of June our kids holiday Program kicks off.

Although fun is a priority for kids, we do realize that on the Cape Flats many kids face social ills that often time break our kids.

Kids too can find themselves in a life spiraling out of control.

This school holiday our social worker addresses the cold reality of dealing and still remaining goal and success focused in a home where one or more adults are substance dependent.
