MINDSET IS CRUCIAL FOR EFFECTIVE FAT LOSS AND HEALTH
Negative self-talk, like viewing dieting as deprivation, can increase cravings.
A science-based approach, focusing on sustainable habits rather than perfection, and leveraging psychological tools like believing in your ability to succeed and using tools that leverage the nervous system, such as NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis), is how you succeed.
Psychological factors like stress and underlying emotional issues can directly impact weight loss.
With a healthy mind is much easier to achieve and maintain a healthy body.

MINDSET IS CRUCIAL FOR EFFECTIVE FAT LOSS AND WELLNESS
Negative self-talk, like viewing dieting as deprivation, can increase cravings.

With a healthy mind, it is much easier to achieve and maintain a healthy body.
It is also more effective to find the cause and treat it than to treat the symptom.

When I think about all my friends and other people I knew who have passed away the last few weeks I feel a deep sadness beyond words...
At the same time, it makes me realize how I take many things for granted...
Being healthy, living a comfortable life, being needed by people to help them in some way, spending time with the people I love, being loved, and just having fun regardless of my problems or difficulties.
When I look back, the only thing I ever regret is not enjoying life and everything I have more...
So that tells me to enjoy the HELL out of everything I have and do, from just waking up and having coffee to achieving a major goal.
JUST ENJOY GOOD THINGS MORE and DON'T GIVE BAD THINGS ANY UNNECESSARY TIME AND ENERGY.

This is so true though. People get so confused about ‘calorie deficits’. But statements like this from diet zealots like Dr Eric Berg and Dr Jason Fung show how ignorant these anti science people are. If you make a statement like this, you simply don’t understand energy balance. If you gain fat, by DEFINITION you are NOT in a caloric deficit.⁣⁣

You may have ate a level of calories that *should* have been a deficit. But if you didn’t lose weight then it wasn’t a deficit 🤷🏼‍♂️. It doesn’t mean CICO is bu****it. It just means that calculator was wrong and your metabolic rate is outside the average.⁣⁣

Some people don’t track calories and still lose fat. This ALSO DOES NOT MEAN CICO is bu****it. It simply means you ate in a deficit without actually tracking calories.⁣⁣

You may have changed the food choices in your diet and seen better weight loss with certain food choices. THIS ALSO DOES NOT MEAN CICO IS BU****IT. It simply means that you likely ate foods that were less processed with more protein and fiber, all of which are factors that can increase energy expenditure. Just because different food choices affect the ‘calories out’ portion of CICO.⁣⁣

Things that don’t affect energy expenditure appear to be intermittent fasting and keto 🤷🏼‍♂️. Sorry zealots. Now if you like intermittent fasting and keto then that’s fine, they aren’t WORSE for weight loss, but they aren’t better. So do what you prefer. Just stop trying to make your s**t out to be magic.⁣

But what about mah hormonez??? You’ll find that most people complaining about their hormones inhibiting weight loss have NEVER actually had their hormones measured (mostly because if they had them measured and found out they were fine, they’d have one less excuse). That said, hormones such as low thyroid can effect BMR and energy expenditure (EE), but it doesn’t make it impossible to lose weight. The greatest reported decrease in BMR from low thyroid is around 25% reduction in BMR (around a ~15-20% decrease in daily EE). So harder to lose weight, not impossible 🤷🏼‍♂️⁣

My top 5 tips for building an impressive physique ⬇️

These days people are used to getting what they want quickly. With The touch of a button, we can pretty much have whatever we want within moments. This has created unrealistic expectations with regards to how we view our bodies

Here’s my top 5 ‘tips’ for building an impressive physique ⬇️

1) STOP TRYING TO RUSH THE PROCESS! It’s going to take a long time. Embrace the challenge. Embrace the fact that there will be setbacks. If you try to rush results, you will likely get frustrated & quit. You must be in this for the long-haul

2) Consistency>Perfection. I can’t tell you how many people have shamed me for using a sustainable approach versus being more “hardcore” ie “only eat clean & take every set to failure” approach 🙄. Meanwhile, I’m still here over 20 years later, and most of them are ashed out the industry

3) You aren’t going to diet your way to an impressive physique. If you don’t spend long periods of time in a controlled surplus, you will never build the requisite mass necessary to appear impressive. That means spending MORE total time in a slight surplus than you do in a deficit & focusing on each one in distinct blocks. Chase 2 rabbits & you’ll catch NONE

4) You better get comfortable with being uncomfortable. The amount of work that will be required to build an impressive drug free physique will be bone crushing. You had better love your training because you will need to do a LOT of really hard fu***ng training
