Mama Bamba Pregnancy and childbirth offer a rare and sacred opportunity to get in touch with the wise, intuitive woman within you.

At Mama Bamba we undertake to accompany you on your journey of birth preparation and provide you with a network of support and friendship that continues beyond birth. We assist you to fully embrace your upcoming labour and birth so that it becomes an empowering, calm and holistic experience for you, your partner and your baby. Loving births which are free of trauma have a lifelong beneficial impact on your newborn baby. Our belief is that women should have support and information with which to make choices about the way they birth and parent. We are committed to providing a respectful environment in which to explore these individual choices. This is particularly important in a context where birth and parenting are increasingly becoming the domain of experts. We know from experience that women who trust themselves and their bodies labour more easily and have less resistance to birth. Part of our vision is to empower women to love themselves and their birthing bodies enough that they trust in their bodies’ wisdom. Our classes and individual therapies weave together the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of pregnancy and parenting. Central to the way we work is the practice of mindfulness. We all have the innate capacity to bring our awareness to the present moment along with the ability to open our hearts to ourselves, our babies and our lives.

We’d love for your to join our Monthly Doula Gatherings and connect with birth workers around the country - Save the upcoming dates!

Our Doula gatherings are open to all Doulas - in South Africa as well as International.

They’re ideal spaces to debrief, share experiences, ask for advice or receive guidance while working towards certification.

We will request RSVPs or share the Zoom registration link the week before each gathering so keep an eye out on Socials & our WhatsApp group.
