As an industry we have been practising stringent hygiene and safety protocols throughout our professional careers!
It has always been a part of our in-depth training and qualification processes.

We are required to practise sanitation and hygiene protocols as a standard, I personally use medical grade sanitising products and protocols. We will certainly get even more strict with our hygiene, if that is even possible.

All hair salons, beauty therapists and cosmetology studios have been closed since March 27, when the nationwide lockdown was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa

The most recent government communications have classified the beauty industry as LEVEL 1 😓
We will therefore not be able to commence with our Luscious Lash, Beautiful Brow nor Laser Hair Removal Treatments at this time.
We are confident that under the strictly controlled hygiene and safety measures that we have ALWAYS followed, we will be able to perform our treatments without compromising the efforts being made to .

A petition has been set up by EOHCB (Employers Organization for Hairdressing, Cosmetology and Beauty) appealing to the government to reconsider the restrictions on our industry.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & GENDER BASED VIOLENCE RESOURCE DURING LOCKDOWN:

"We have noted the fear and the possibility of the escalation of gender based violence that could come as a result of liquor now being consumed at home. As an extra measure, we have plans in place to beef up our FCS Units (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences) to deal with this threat. The number 0800 150 150 can be used to report incidents of gender based violence for urgent response.

“Meanwhile, all forms of crime must be reported. Our 10111 will remain fully functional during the lockdown period. The Crime Stop number is also functional and can be used to give anonymous tip offs on suspected criminal activities. Also, police and the SANDF will be visible in the streets conducting foot patrols."
