As the year winds down, I’ve been reflecting on how much our relationship with food and our bodies changes throughout the seasons of life.
December so often brings pressure — to “be good,” to start over in January, to undo a year’s worth of habits in a few rushed weeks.
But this season can also invite something much softer: gratitude.
✨ Gratitude for the body that carried you through another year
✨ Gratitude for the meals that nourished you — even the simple ones
✨ Gratitude for the small habits you built (or rebuilt) along the way
✨ Gratitude for growth, learning, and resilience — even on the hard days
Instead of chasing perfection at the end of the year, consider asking yourself:
💛 What helped me feel good this year?
💛 What supported my energy, my health, my joy?
💛 What is one gentle habit I want to carry into the new year?
Remember: balanced living isn’t built through restriction — it’s built through consistency, compassion, and awareness.
So here’s to closing the year with kindness — to yourself, your body, and your journey. 🥂
And to nourishing both health and happiness in the year ahead.
