Wow, what a day! 🌟

The Autism Connect team just had an incredible training session with the amazing Elfrieda Baartman from Autism South Africa

😊 We dove deep into some game-changing topics that'll take our support to the next level 🚀

We explored the power of Presuming Competence 💡 - trusting that all autistic individuals have the capacity to learn and grow, and adjusting our approach to meet them where they're at.

We gained a deeper understanding of What is Autism? - moving beyond stereotypes and embracing the diversity of the autism spectrum

We also unpacked Executive Functioning - those essential skills like planning, organization, and self-regulation that can be challenging for many with autism. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! We dug into strategies for supporting emotional regulation, communication, and more.

We're so grateful to Elfrieda for sharing her expertise and passion. Her insights have left us feeling empowered and inspired to make an even bigger impact.

Thanks to Autism South Africa for connecting us with Elfrieda. We're looking forward to putting these learnings into practice and continuing to grow.

Weekly Wrap-Up 😊: Autism Connect Early Learning Centre is buzzing!

🎉 We kicked off the term on Wed, 14th Jan, and what a fantastic 3 days it's been! 🌟

Our little ones have dived into:
- 🤓 Academics: Getting those curious minds sparked!
- 🤝 Social Activities: Making friends and having SO much fun!
- 🌱 Adaption: Settling in smoothly and loving it!
- 🌳 Nature Walks: Exploring the world around us!
- 👩‍🏫 Getting to know Teacher & Peers: Building bonds and confidence!

We're loving this fresh start and can't wait to see what the rest of the term brings! 😄 Thanks to our amazing teachers and families for making it happen 🙌

🔙 Back to the grind, but in the BEST way! 😊 Our amazing Autism Connect staff kicked off their Return-to-Work for 2026 with fire in their bellies and hearts full of excitement! ❤️‍🔥

*Day 1* was all about 🔥 *Programmatic Alignment* – we dug deep into our goals, fine-tuned our strategies, and made sure we're set up for an EPIC year of growth, laughter, and learning! 📚💡 Oh, and class prep? Nailed it! 😎 Our educators are READY to create magic in every classroom.

*Day 2*? 💻 Time to level up with *Smartboard & Interactive Board Training* – because learning’s gotta be FUN, right? 😄 Plus, crucial *policy discussions* to keep our ship sailing smoothly. Big shoutout to our team for diving in headfirst!
