Replenish
Replenish came into being when I realised towards the end of 2018, that I had been battling with allergies for an entire year. It felt like I hadn’t had one single day when I wasn’t either covered in eczema (which has been a lifelong struggle) or a constantly snotty nose. I was exhausted and felt I was dragging myself through the day. To add to the fun I was also peri-menopausal and struggling with the hot flushes and mood swings which comes with this interesting phase of life, not to mention the psychological impact of middle age spread, navigating my way through single parenthood and the intricacies of a new relationship in my mid-forties. In December I took myself off to McGregor on a ‘return to me/time out’ retreat and decided that I had to find new habits and ways of being in order to reclaim my sanity, my health and allow myself to fully embrace all the new and exciting things that were in the pipeline for 2019. I began to research essential oils and how to create all natural, vegan and environmentally friendly options for skincare, shampoo, body creams and room mists. I started using a diffuser next to my bed and slept deeply for the first time since my daughter was born 10 years ago. My eczema is gone, I can breathe deeply and a new business has been created out of love and a desire to share the recipes and lotions and potions that have helped me turn my life around. Now if I can just get the middle age spread to magically disappear...
