Sinusitis is usually inflammation in the sinuses that creates pressure, pain, and blocked breathing.
Symptoms can include pressure around the cheeks, forehead, or eyes, blocked nose, thick mucus, reduced smell, headache that worsens when bending forward, postnasal drip, sore throat, and sometimes tooth or jaw pain.
⚪ What often triggers it
A cold that didn’t clear properly, allergies, dust exposure, smoking, weather changes, or chronic nasal irritation.
⚪ What to do next
If it’s mild, we can advise safe symptom relief and how to use it correctly. If it’s lasting longer than 7 to 10 days, getting worse, or keeps coming back, you should get reviewed.
⚪ What helps at home
Saline rinses, steam inhalation, hydration, resting, and avoiding smoke. Do not overuse decongestant sprays because rebound blockage is real.
⚪ When to go urgent
Swelling around the eyes, high fever, severe headache, stiff neck, confusion, or vision changes needs urgent medical attention.
