For 20 years, Lejeune lived quietly with her limb loss.
After losing her leg in a motorcycle accident at just 17, shame and isolation became part of her everyday life. She never met another amputee — not because she didn’t want to, but because putting herself out there felt too daunting.

Fast forward to 2025. Lejeune decided to say yes to an invitation.
It was the first time she sat in a room full of women who looked like her, understood her journey, and didn’t need explanations.

One decision changed everything.
