For years we have nurtured an innovative mindset, continuously pushing the boundaries to create the best products and services in the fields of prosthetic, osteoarthritis and injury solutions. For those with limb loss, our goal at Össur ultimately is to replicate the natural function of the lost limb, restoring normal sensory and motor control functions to the person. Being true advocates of "Life Without Limitations", we work with individuals, clinicians and diverse communities to support a better quality of life for millions of people around the world, including South Africa.

They are not Paralympians.
They are ordinary people—with leg amputations —who refuse to let limb loss define what’s possible.

This March 2026 three teams living with limb loss will take on one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world:
The Cape Epic Absa South Africa

Together with Jumping Kids RejuvenateSa and Zimele, we’re proud to launch the campaign. Raising funds for these amazing NPOs and shining a spotlight on courage, community, and the power of challenging perceptions within the amputee community.
