Yesterday, 1 October 2022, Dr HR Morkel Inc celebrated 30 years since first opening it’s doors. On 1 October 1992, Heinz Morkel with the help of his wife, Annemi took a chance to open the first private nuclear medicine practice in Cape Town at Panorama Mediclinic. Thank you for everyone that has been on this journey with us over the past 30 years! We look forward to the next 30 years! (and 30 after that!)

Fantastic news that the FDA have approved the use of Lutetium -177 PSMA for patients with metastatic prostate cancer. This is a big step in the right direction! Therapy with Lutetium -177 is PSMA done at our Panorama practice.

Neuro-endocrine tumours are often difficult to diagnose as symptoms may be vague and non-specific. This is why it is important to raise awareness and support for this rare type of cancer. If you have been diagnosed with a NET please go to the NETSAS page where there are other patients with the same disease or doctors with expertise in the field that may offer support and guidance onthis rare type of cancer.
