We can eat the best food.
Track the data.
Dial in the protocols.
And still forget to live in our skin.

Sometimes it takes courage to pause.
Drop the clothes. Step into the water.
Remember... you’re alive right now.

Strong. Nourished. And still a little feral.

Move. Feel. Play. Belong to nature — if only for a moment.
No audience. Just presence.

There’s something that happens the moment the soles of your feet meet the earth.
Your body softens.
Your senses wake up.
You suddenly want to skip, to play.

Science calls it grounding / earthing — direct contact with natural surfaces like sand, soil, rock, or forest floor.
Studies suggest it can help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, improve balance and proprioception, and reconnect the brain with the body in a very literal way.

But honestly? You don’t need data to feel it.
Barefoot walking makes the world feel grippier, more alive.

We do a lot of barefoot hikes and walks — forest, beach, mountain - and almost every single time someone stops us, they say:
“Wow… that’s amazing! That's hardcore”

It’s wild that something so natural has become surprising.
And yet, every interaction comes with smiles, curiosity, a spark of childlike wonder.
People often say they’ll try it next time… and I wonder if they do. I hope so.
Being barefoot isn’t about doing something extraordinary.
It’s simply remembering that your feet were designed to feel the earth — and that play, presence, and connection are still available to us… right uner our (bare)feet 👣🌿

The Garden Route isn’t just a place — it’s a feeling
A remembering.

Over the past few days, I’ve been walking barefoot through forests on my own.
Pausing with deer that weren’t afraid.
Noticing fallen giants — no longer standing, yet still serving —
holding moss, mushrooms, birds, new life.

I’ve stood on wild stretches of beach.
Cliffs behind me.
A restless sea in front of me.
No agenda. No urgency.

I’ve driven with the windows open, singing loudly, then driving in silence.
Both felt like medicine.

Somewhere between the forest floor and the open road, I felt my system soften.
Breath deepen.
Thoughts slow.
The body remembering its own rhythm.

We can eat the most nourishing food, biohack our routines, and meditate daily —
but if we never come home to ourselves,
we miss the most essential ingredient of all:
feeling safe, present, and at ease in our own skin.

This is the kind of health we don’t often name —
the kind that comes from being unrushed,
from being in relationship with the earth,
from giving yourself permission to be exactly where you are.

And for those who were wondering — my old boy is doing really well.
He turned a corner just in time.
I tried to give this week away, worried it would go to waste.
But it seems it was never meant for anyone else.

I love my people.
My community.
The lives we weave together.
And there is something deeply nourishing about being in love with your own company.
About moving through the world unaccompanied, yet deeply held.

This is Flowing Nomads to me —
a way of living that supports the nervous system,
honours the body,
and trusts the quiet intelligence of timing.

Rooted. Wild. Alive.
At home wherever you are.

Teaching yoga is never just about the shapes we make on the mat.
It’s about the energy in the room, the honesty of effort, the courage to rest, and the quiet moments of connection.

It is a gift to walk into a space as a teacher and feel welcomed.
A gift when students become familiar faces.
And an even greater gift when those faces become friends.

This is what I love to witness while guiding a class...

When the room feels like a community...
Not a performance. Not a competition.
Just people sharing space, breath, and presence.

When students rest when they need to...
Because listening to your body is the practice.

When students honor their bodies, injuries, and limitations...
Choosing compassion over ego is real strength.

When someone tries something new with curiosity and playfulness...
Wobbling, laughing, falling — all welcome here.

When effort and ease dance together...
Strength without force. Softness without collapse

When playfulness is present...
Lightness, joy, and permission to explore without taking it all so seriously.

When breath leads the way...
Because the breath knows the rhythm better than the mind ever will.

When people give as much to savasana as they do to the flow...
True integration happens in stillness.

When people show up — fully, imperfectly, authentically...
Rushing in. Shoes off. Bags dropped.
Life still humming loudly outside the room.
Yoga doesn’t ask you to be calm or ready —
only to arrive.
This space is safe for exactly who you are today.

Let’s Talk About S*xual Health

We talk about food, fitness, and mindfulness — but we forget that s*xual health is part of overall health too.

Your libido is your body’s quiet pulse — a reflection of balance between your hormones, energy, and emotions. When that spark fades, it’s often your body whispering that something’s out of sync.

And it’s not always just aging or stress. It’s the everyday things around us that quietly throw our hormones off course.

☠️ Sneaky libido killers hiding in plain sight:
💨 Synthetic fragrances (perfume, candles, air fresheners)
🧺 Laundry detergents & fabric softeners
🥘 Non-stick cookware
🧴 Sunscreens & cosmetics with parabens or phthalates
🍔 Processed foods & chronic stress

These can disrupt estrogen, testosterone, and the delicate rhythm that fuels your natural vitality. Here’s something wild: testosterone levels in men that were once considered low are now often labeled normal. No wonder so many people feel flat, foggy, and disconnected.

The good news? Small, simple swaps make a big difference:
🌿 Choose natural or fragrance-free products
🥘 Cook with stainless steel
💧 Filter your water
💃 Move your body — lift, stretch, dance, breathe
😴 Sleep deeply
🫶 Connect meaningfully — to yourself & to your partner

Because this isn’t about performance. It’s about connection — to self, to life, to love.

S*x is sacred energy, and caring for your hormones is one of the most loving things you can do for yourself.

In yoga, there’s a yama (one of the ethical guidelines of yoga) called Brahmacharya — often misunderstood as celibacy, but really about using your life-force energy wisely.

S*xual energy is life energy — the same current that fuels creativity, joy, and connection. When we channel it consciously, s*x becomes more than physical — it becomes sacred.

S*xual health is health.
And feeling turned on by life — and by love — is one of the most natural states of all. 🌙

Let’s normalise talking about s*xual health — because pleasure, balance, and vitality belong to us all. 💫

Some days are about movement, some about stillness — both are teaching me who I am becoming.

Lately, I’ve been noticing how much of life is felt in the quiet, in the small pauses, in the spaces between doing. I used to think that progress always meant action, pushing forward, striving; but now I see that a lot of growth happens in simply allowing myself to exist, to notice, to breathe. Each moment I give myself to presence feels like a little unfolding, a little revelation about who I am, what I need, and the rhythms I want to honour in my life.

There’s a gentle, quiet magic in watching yourself unfold, one gentle moment at a time.

Not Your Typical Before & After

Usually, these posts are about touching toes after years of not being able to, or dropping into the splits after endless practice.

Mine’s a little different.

My before was somewhat bendy, folding deeper and deeper, chasing range. My after is… tighter. Less flexible. More resistance in poses that used to feel effortless.

But here’s the thing: in that “reverse” progress, I’ve found something even more valuable — stability.

Through strength training, I’ve built muscle, protected my joints, and discovered a steadiness that feels so much more sustainable. I may not melt into every pose like I once did, but I feel stronger, more resilient, and less likely to get injured.

As women — especially as we age — this matters. Flexibility alone isn’t the goal. We need strength to support our bodies, to keep our bones healthy, and to stay playful and capable in everyday life.

So no, this isn’t your usual “look how far I’ve come” before-and-after. It’s a reminder that sometimes the best progress looks like stepping back from extremes and finding balance instead. 💪🧘‍♀️✨

Love, friendship, and a little upside-down adventure ✨

There’s something special about moving, laughing, and exploring with the people you care about—whether it’s a partner who supports you or friends who lift you up.

Sharing moments like these nourishes your body, your mind, and your heart. Studies show that social connection and shared physical activity release oxytocin and endorphins, lowering stress and boosting overall well-being.

Being active and playful with partners and friends strengthens bonds, sparks joy and gratitude, and reminds us that growth is always better together 🥰

How do the people you love—partners, friends, whoever makes your heart sing—help you feel more alive, connected, or inspired?
