We have been a bit quiet lately on here , because we’ll , we have been swimming 🏊♀️🏊♂️ . At the beginning of the year , while away with family . We decided this year , we need to do something that challenges us mentally and spiritually.
You see , it is easy to fall into the rut of work, school things and then repeat . But life is meant to be lived right ? To feel the connection from deep within .
Most of my patients know my saying “if you can just survive the swim of the triathlon, you will finish” . I have never been comfortable in the open water , and knew this would be a big challenge for me .
We are super privileged to do this as a family (although we couldn’t convince the other two brothers 😛 ) , My dad (yes , super cool right ) , my sis ( who casually swims half the time it takes us to swim ) , and Lionel and I will be doing the Robin island crossing in April 2026 🤗
We are currently in week 11 of our training program and the excitement and nervousness is starting to build up .
What did this make us see again ? What a difference it makes in trusting the plan , and sticking to it , throughout life chaos , moving , school work , school functions , parent meetings , work etc. consistency is key , and having a accountability buddy has so much value . ( consider this for the boring initial phase rehab , perhaps? )
Keep and eye out to see when the big day will be 🫶 , but most importantly- find your challenge for the year , start to live a little more , and trust .
Trough God everything is possible ❤️
