To top it all off, we were able to give each of our residents a small Christmas gift. The gifts were made possible by the kindness of the Cathcart Methodist Church. The Cathcart Community are so supportive of our Old Age Home and we want you all to know that we appreciate what you do to help us throughout the year. Without the help and support we receive from the FRIENDS OF THE CALLIE EVENS LODGE our job would be a great deal more difficult. Thank you to you all.

Then it was time to enjoy a delicious Christmas Dinner with all our residents and guests. Thank you Cathcart RT No.75 and FNB for your generous donation which made all this possible. We and the residents and our guests had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas - all be it a little bit early. The on going, support we receive from Cathcart RT is so appreciated by ALL of us at the Callie Evens Lodge. The added bonus of support from FNB this year was amazing - thank you all so much. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our residents and their families and the friends of Callie Evens Lodge a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year. We trust that 2026 is going to be a good year for everyone.

Thank you Duke Sweetnam from Light of the World Mission in Tylden for leading our Carol Service. Your message was beautiful. We sang lots of wonderful Christmas Carol and Dini Lutzke played the piano for us and was ably assisted by Clasie Sweetnam. It was wonderful to have the team from the Tylden Light of the World Mission as our guests this year. Thank you to all our other visitors for accepting our invitation and for joining us for this special occasion.

We spent an amazing morning at Glenngarry yesterday. The weather was fantastic! Our residents had a wonderful time soaking up their very favourite treat of the year. Thank you to Jenny Shone for making this possible every year, and thank you to Lynne Purdon for the delious meal that you served us. It was so super to have Jenny with us this year. Jenny and Lynne and Greg make a super efficient team and the level of spoiling was out the top draw just like it is every year. We missed you Ronnie and Cynthia, but we can tell you that your girls and Greg did a great job.
This venue is quite amazing. The calm and beauty are difficult to describe, but wonderful to experience. Each one of the residents will tell you that it is an outing that is just not to be missed.
A very sincere thank you to the Shone family for their incredible generosity and sincere kindness to everyone at the CALLIE EVENS LODGE. We all appreciate the amazing support you give us through out the year. Thank you all for a wonderful day.
