Zap-Em Lice Removal

About 20 minutes into the detailed removal,I had taken about 30 eggs. These eggs were still there despite mom (and dad) treating the hair and combing through it multiple times in the last 3 weeks. All in all,4 hours work(due to very thick hair) with a follow up scheduled next week.

It's that time of year again ladies and gents

Lice are tiny insects that can be found on various parts of the body, including the head, eyebrows, and eyelashes. These insects live on humans and feed on their blood. Lice that live close to the scalp are known as head lice.

Pictures from a removal I did this afternoon. In the first, you can see the bite marks that the lice have left and the second picture is all the eggs I removed when doing the fine comb through-about 50 or so. Unfortunately normal lice combs just don't get those eggs close to the scalp-and then a few days later,the child has lice again and mom is at the end of her rope.

A little one in grade R that I treated this morning. She was so well behaved and patient,sitting still for most of the 2 hours. Schools and aftercare facilities are the most likely place our kids pick up a lice infestation. Children,with their fine hair and loving nature (lying next to friends while watching a movie/playing doll with each other's hair) are very quick to pick up an infection.

Prevent this by reminding your children of boundaries between each other,doing regular checks on your little one's hair and informing the school immediately if you find lice.

One of the many lice that I removed from a client's hair...imagine that crawling around on your scalp😨😭😷

This tween had a light infestation,but you can already see in the one picture how the lice have left bite marks on her scalp. All in all,about 2 hours work-which meant relief for her.
