My girls… the days between Christmas and New Year are when MOST women overeat the most.

My girls… tomorrow is Christmas, and before the celebrations begin, I want to give you a soft, loving reminder:
You are allowed to enjoy Christmas.
You are allowed to eat dessert.
You are allowed to make memories around the table.
But you don’t need to eat until you feel uncomfortable.
You don’t need seconds or thirds to enjoy something.
You don’t need to abandon yourself at the dessert table.

Jingle bells, jingle bells… WHO ate all the cookies?
Plot twist — these ones are no sugar, no flour, all whole foods 🍫✨
Soft, fudgy, double-chocolate goodness that won’t leave you feeling guilty or bloated — just festive and satisfied.
🍫 Double Chocolate Date Cookies
Ingredients
▪️ 8 large Medjool dates
▪️ 2 tbsp cocoa powder
▪️ 1 tsp baking powder
▪️ 2 eggs
▪️ 4 tbsp ALMOND OR CASHEW butter
▪️ 1/2 Bar Carb smart sugar free dark chocolate chopped in small pieces (optional)
Method
▪️ Preheat oven to 160°C
▪️ If dates aren’t soft, soak in warm water for 20 minutes, then drain
▪️ Blend or mix all ingredients until the dates form a paste
▪️ Shape into 5–6 cookies
▪️ Top with extra chocolate chips if using
▪️ Bake for 8–10 minutes

My girls… if December has felt messy and you’ve caught yourself thinking,
“I’ve already messed up, so what’s the point?”
this message is for you 💛
December is not all-or-nothing.
One meal doesn’t undo your progress.
And you don’t need to throw in the towel just because things haven’t been perfect.
I wrote this week’s blog as a gentle reminder that progress still counts — even now — and that January feels very different when you don’t abandon yourself in December.

Just like one unhealthy meal didn’t get you here,
👉 one unhealthy meal isn’t going to undo your progress either.
We’re heading into the festive season 🎄
Family gatherings. Braais. Christmas tables loaded with food.
And that alone should NOT be the reason you derail from your healthy habits.
Here’s the truth:
There are only a few days in December that really matter.
What determines your results isn’t Christmas Day…
👉 It’s what you do consistently before and after it.
If you’re still:
✔️ choosing healthier meals most of the time
✔️ prioritising protein
✔️ getting in your fruits & veggies
You can still see results — even over Christmas.
But the moment the mindset shifts to
“Ah well… it’s Christmas, I’ll start again in January”
that’s where progress gets paused 🙅♀️
So go into this festive season with intention.
Enjoy it. Be present.
But still make the best choices you can — because consistency always shows up later.

SWEET POTATO TACO BOWL
Ingredients
Roasted Sweet Potatoes
-2 handfuls sweet potatoes, peeled & chopped into 2.5 cm cubes
-½ tsp coconut oil
-¼ tsp salt
Mince
-280g extra lean ground beef
-2 tbsp chili powder
-2 tsp Carb Smart curry spice
-1 tsp salt
-½ onion, diced
-½ green pepper, diced
-2 garlic cloves, chopped or minced
-½ tsp coconut oil (for frying)
Toppings:
-1 medium avocado, mashed
-¼ onion, diced
-1 tomato, diced
-¼ green pepper, diced
Instructions
1. Roast the Sweet Potatoes
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Toss sweet potato cubes with ½ tsp coconut oil + ¼ tsp salt.
Spread out on a tray and roast for 20–25 minutes, or until golden.
2. Cook the Mince
Heat coconut oil in a pan.
Add onion, garlic, spices, and salt, sauté until fragrant.
Add mince and brown well.
Stir in green pepper and let it soften.
3. Make the Salsa
Combine:
1/2 diced onion
1 diced tomato
1/2 diced green pepper
Mix well and add salt and pepper to taste
4. Build Your Bowl
Devide roasted sweet potatoes to 2 bowls.
Divide and spoon over the flavour-packed mince.
Top each bowl with half creamy avo and half fresh salsa.

This recipe is perfect for meal prep!
Prep your sweet potatoes, mince, and salsa in advance → store in the fridge → and when you're ready to eat, you can assemble your whole bowl in less than 5 minutes.
