Prof. Heine van der Walt M.B.,Ch.B.(Pret), M.Med.(Surg)(Pret),FCS.(SA). Gastro Oesophageal Specialist Surgeon. He has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery.

Prof Heine van der Walt is a surgeon in private practice at Unitas Hospital, Centurion. Research includes comparative surgical techniques, motility disorders of the esophagus, complication and outcome studies, and many more. He has been the invited speaker at numerous international and local congresses and has also conducted many workshops in laparoscopic surgery, training surgeons worldwide in advanced laparoscopic surgery techniques. Previous appointments:
