Our bodies are not designed to do this much sitting, we are hunter-gatherers meant to move dynamically and the result of sitting for this many hours every day over time is killing people slowly by taking a physical mental toll on the mind and body ...and it's not just the sitting that's the problem it's what we're doing while we're sitting.
Hunching over our desk / computer for hours and then walking / standing eyes riveted to our phones, thumbs doing a frenzied breakdance over the keyboard has increased neck, shoulder and back musculoskeletal issues and making matters much much worse.
