In South Africa 🇿🇦 (Gender Based Violence) has not disapated it has reached insane numbers on a daily basis.

Reminders of my student self volunteering at in the early 90's hearing screams of help on the other side of the phone. Seeing mental, physical and financial abuse.

In a conversation today instead of laying down, I chose to empower and use social media as voice for the voiceless.

First is to let go of fear whether you are a victim or a bystander. Perpetrators also need help. This is not a one sided battle. It's a society problem.

Recently I watched a Korean drama As you stood by. How many times have we turned a blind eye and said its not my problem... they will be ok... she is making up a story... she is seeking attention... she is making problems where there are none...

Uncondition our thinking, talking and practices. Call out the situation before the situation spirals out of control.

No more What if and If I knew or She should have said something.

Almost all victims don't speak up because of the judgment they receive.

Let today not just be wear purple or black but everyday remember 💜 🖤 why we as humans can change what has now become norm.

Seek help there are people here to help guide you through the tough and downright hellish moments in life.

The Full moon and Lunar Eclipse last night this was taken in Sydney, Australia 🌕💜✨️

A breath-taking shot of tonight's Full Red Moon rising over Sydney during total lunar eclipse by Ethan Callaghan. 🌕✨

This is a real photograph captured using a technique called telephoto compression (or lens compression).

Here’s how it works:

A telephoto lens (long focal length, e.g. 300mm–600mm) is used.

The photographer positions themselves far away from the subject (the Opera House, in this case).

Because of the long focal length, the Moon (which is actually quite small to the naked eye) appears much larger relative to the building in the frame.
