I do not think that my patients realise how much they inspire me every day. I am immensely proud of the progress that this amazing patient has made! He has pushed through 15 years of multiple sclerosis, and with one year into physio, he is now walking 400m!!! He dug deep and committed himself to the process. I celebrate your achievement with you, Grant!

Strokes can affect hand function by limiting the nerve signals from the brain to the hand. Depending on the hand function controlled by the damaged part of the brain, the damage can mean loss of hand mobility, loss of dexterity (physical ability to manipulate objects sucn as as picking up a spoon), spasticity (increase of muscle.tone that causes shortening of the muscles and limitation of movement). . Neuroligical physio techniques with a specialist Physio can help to recover function of the hand and the use of exercises and stretching can help to keep the hand flexible, pliable , thereby supporting recovery of hand function. Hallo there. As a physio I need quiet coffee time to reflect upon the amazing patients that have given me the privilege to work with them through difficult medical challenges in their lives.
