One Killed, Multiple injured in Horrific crash N2 Near NPC Durban

Just after 07:30pm on Saturday evening ALS Paramedics responded to a horrific crash involving two vehicles on the N2 North Bound near NPC cement factory South of Durban.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos and carnage as they found the badly damaged vehicles obstructing the roadway and multiple casualties. Immediately more Ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to assist. One person a male believed to be in his thirties was found lying on the Freeway after the collision with multiple fatal injuries. Paramedics assessed the man however he was declared deceased on the scene. Approximately five other patients from both vehicles had sustained injuries ranging from moderate to critical and once stabilised on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS and Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further.

One Killed Six injured in Durban Central Crash.

Just after 3pm on Friday Afternoon ALS Paramedics responded to numerous calls of a serious multiple vehicles Crash on Masabalala Yengwa Avenue and Somtseu Road in the Durban CBD.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos and carnage as they found multiple vehicles damaged with one vehicle found on its side with the driver entrapped. Multiple casualties were found and immediately more Ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to assist on the scene.

Paramedics together with Ethekweni Fire Department found the one driver entrapped in the wreckage and carefully extricated the man who then went into a state of Cardiac arrest. Despite all resuscitation efforts the male in his nineties passed away at the scene. A futher six people had sustained various injuries and once stabilized on the scene they were transported to nearby Hospitals for the further care that they required.

The roadway was closed for sometime whilst emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Around 11:30am this morning ALS Paramedics responded to a male who had collapsed on the beach front near Addington Hospital.

Immediately Advanced Life Support Paramedics responded and found Ethekweni Life Guards, Metro Police Search and Rescue and Ensure Security officials performing CPR on a male believed to be in his forties. Paramedics took over and all attempts to resuscitate the man were exhausted before he was declared deceased on the scene. It is alleged that the man had just been discharged from Addington Hospital.

At this stage the events leading up to the incident is unknown however Metro Police and SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Two Killed in Durban CBD Crash

Just after 05:30am this morning ALS Paramedics responded to a horrific crash involving a truck and a light motor vehicle on the corner of Anton Lembede Street and Stewart Simelane Street in the Durban CBD.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find carnage as they found that the light motor vehicle had basically T B***d the truck going underneath it. Paramedics assessed the scene and found that there were two men a driver and a passenger were severely entrapped in the wreckage. Immediately the Ethekweni Fire Department was dispatched to assist. Paramedics assessed the two men believed to be in their thirties however both men had sustained major injuries and unfortunately there was nothing Paramedics could do for them and they were declared deceased on the scene. The scene was cornered off and handed over to SAPS.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Man Killed in Cato Ridge Crash

Just after 1:30pm today ALS Paramedics responded to a horrific crash involving a truck and a car on the N3 Pietermaritzburg Bound near Cato Ridge.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find carnage as they found that a single vehicle had collided into the rear of a truck. Paramedics assessed the man believed to be in his forties who was still entrapped in the wreckage however he had sustained major injuries and there was nothing Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene. The Ethekweni Fire Department was dispatched to assist with the entrapment.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Just after 07:15am this morning ALS Paramedics responded to a serious Scholar Taxi Crash on the M13 Durban Bound near Kassier Rd in the Hillcrest.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos as they found that a truck had rear ended a scholar Taxi leaving multiple children injured. Immediately more Ambulances and Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to assist with the multiple casualty scene. A total of Ten Children had sustained various injuries and once stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further.
