*Man Killed in Pinetown Crash*

Around 11am on Tuesday Morning ALS Paramedics responded to a serious single vehicle crash on the M19 Pinetown Bound after Otto Volek Road in the Pinetown area.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find carnage as they found that a single vehicle had somehow lost control and left the roadway coming to rest against a tree. Paramedics found the passenger severely entrapped in the wreckage. The male approximately Thirty years of age had sustained fatal injuries and unfortunately there was nothing Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene. The Ethekweni Fire Department had to utilize the Jaws of Life to cut the man free. The driver had sustained moderate injuries and was stabilized on the scene by Paramedics before being transported to a nearby Hospital for the further care that he required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

*Three injured in Merewent Crash*

Just before 3pm on Monday afternoon ALS Paramedics responded to a serious crash on the M4 South Bound after Quality Street involving a Truck and a light motor vehicle.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the badly damaged vehicle against the rear of the truck. Immediately a triage was done and three occupants had sustained various injuries. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize the injured on scene before they were transported to various Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
