Raising the Bar for Urological Care in KZN.
We are proud to announce a significant leap forward in surgical technology for KwaZulu-Natal. Netcare Parklands Hospital has procured the new Lumenis P120 laser featuring Moses 2.0 technology.
This acquisition marks a major milestone. It is a first for KZN, a first for Netcare South Africa, and only the second machine of its kind in the entire country. Dr. Santosh Bugwandin is now utilising this system for HoLEP procedures and kidney stone management.
Why this changes everything While we have always utilised high-powered 150Watt lasers, this new machine boasts patented technology that manipulates the laser beam to deliver unprecedented benefits. It represents the world's most advanced laser technology and is the standard in HoLEP Day Surgery clinics across North America.
The benefits for our patients include:
Unmatched Safety: The technology significantly reduces bleeding, allowing us to operate safely on high-risk patients and those on anticoagulants.
Faster Recovery: Patients benefit from reduced time in theatre under anaesthesia and shorter hospital stays.
Superior Stone Management: It enables us to "dust" down large kidney stones more quickly and efficiently, reducing the need for multiple procedures.
We are dedicated to investing in the best tools available to ensure superior outcomes for our patients.
