Nourishing the Nurturers is a half-day retreat devoted to replenishment, connection, and gentle return to self.

Held on the eve of Mother’s Day, this gathering is an invitation for women in all phases of life, the maiden, the mother, and the crone, to come together in a shared space of care, reflection, and restoration. Whether you are actively nurturing others, longing to be held, or simply seeking a pause, this space honours the many ways we give and receive.

Guided by Nicky and Christie, the afternoon weaves together a rich tapestry of practices designed to soften the body and soothe the nervous system. Through sacral and hip-focused movement, breathwork, meditation, and a journey through the koshas, you’ll be gently guided inward. The experience is deepened with mantra, yoga nidra, and the subtle healing touch of Reiki, allowing for rest, integration, and renewal.
We close with tea and quiet connection, offering a moment to land and carry the nourishment forward.

This is a space to exhale.

To remember that you, too, are worthy of the care you so often give.

What we do

At Mukti Movement, we specialize in Internal Martial Arts and Yoga. Our experienced teachers will expertly guide your learning in a safe and friendly environment. We provide classes in Internal Martial Arts and Yoga and all classes are structured to suit beginner, intermediate and advanced practitioners. Join us and explore your movement potential.

At Mukti Movement we love all things Yoga. Our team of dedicated and passionate instructors offer a wealth of knowledge and experience in the physical practice of yoga, yogic philosophy and yogic lifestyle benefits. Mukti yoga works to cultivate a strong community of happy and healthy yogis. Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Astanga and Kundalini yoga is offered and all classes are structured to suit beginner, intermediate and advanced yoga practitioners. Yoga during pregnancy and rehabilitative practices are also catered for.

We also offer the traditional martial arts of Bagua Zhang, Tai Chi and old school Muay Thai Boran. Our classes are safe and friendly and entirely bereft of machismo. There are no competitions or gradings. You will simply learn how to move with balance, grace and intention. These arts can be practiced for health or for self defence and provide fully integrated movement systems that include kicking, punching, locking, anti-locking and throwing techniques. In addition, the continued practice of the various arts can mitigate structural and energetic imbalances, increase awareness and develop personal strength and flexibility which ultimately leads to greater control over one's energy levels. As in the yoga, all classes are structured to suit beginner, intermediate and advanced practitioners.
