Does the height of the irrigation bag affect intrarenal pressure during ?

Yes—absolutely.

Low inflow pressure at the endoscope does not equal low intrarenal pressure (IRP). What really matters is hydrostatic pressure, which is determined by the height of the irrigation bag.

The higher the bag, the higher the pressure—and the more distended the kidney becomes.

Lowering the irrigation bag ~14 cm above the patient reduces baseline IRP and reduces kidney distention, like a flat soccer ball. Once the kidney is full, even small volume increases can cause a sharp rise in pressure.
