This case that you see here is proof that Dental Bleaching works. The 2 upper lateral incisors are covered by old filling material which dont change colour when bleached. The colour of the old filling material is the same as the adjacent natural teeth. In one appointment, the before and after pictures speak for themselves as the old fillings stayed the same colour but the adjacent natural teeth have whitened considerably..Dental bleaching is best carried out by a Dentist. Any over the counter products are temporary and can be harmful. There are two types, namely the in-chair or the take home kit. Both methods are proven to give results and are case specific, hence having a consult first is mandatory. A cleaning before bleaching is also important as any superficial stains are taken out to optimize the results. Dental Bleaching is proven and if done correctly will be harmless and provide excellent results.
