RECIPE TIME!
🍫🍰 The Best Almond Flour Chocolate Cake
Moist, fudgy, and unbelievably easy — this might be our favourite guilt-free chocolate cake yet! Bonus? It freezes beautifully. 💫
(We used raw honey in our version, but you can keep it keto too!)
📝 Ingredients
Cake:
• 1 cup blanched almond flour
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 4 large eggs, room temperature
• 1/2 tbsp liquid stevia or 1/2 cup raw honey (if not keto)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
👩🍳 To Make
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease an 8-inch cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk eggs and softened butter until smooth.
3. Add vanilla and sweetener, then mix again.
4. Slowly fold in almond flour and cocoa powder until just combined.
5. Stir in baking soda and salt — batter will be thick!
6. Pour into the pan and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a skewer comes out just clean.
7. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cool, frost if desired (frosting recipe below!). 🍰
