QASA Northern Cape Outreach โ€“ Day 3 ๐Ÿงก

QASAโ€™s Northern Cape outreach continued with great momentum on Day 3, as our team extended our engagements to additional healthcare institutions.

We had the privilege of visiting:
๐Ÿ“ Nic Bodenstein District Hospital (Wolmaransstad)
๐Ÿ“ Tshepong Regional Hospital (Klerksdorp)

These visits provided valuable opportunities to connect with healthcare professionals and further strengthen awareness of QASAโ€™s projects and services. The discussions focused on how we can collaboratively support persons who are quadriplegic and paraplegic, ensuring they receive the guidance, resources, and community support they need.

We are encouraged by the positive engagement and growing network of partners committed to improving the lives of persons with mobility impairments.

QASA Northern Cape Outreach โ€“ Day 2 ๐Ÿ’š

On Wednesday, 22 April, we continued our Northern Cape outreach with impactful visits to key healthcare facilities.

Our team engaged with dedicated health professionals at:
๐Ÿ“ Warrenton Community Health Centre
๐Ÿ“ Taung District Hospital
๐Ÿ“ Connie Vorster Memorial Hospital

These engagements were highly productive as healthcare professionals were introduced to QASAโ€™s projects and services aimed at supporting persons who are quadriplegic and paraplegic.

We are encouraged by the commitment shown by therapists, who have agreed to serve as referral partners, helping connect their patients to QASA so that patients can access much-needed support and become part of our community.

QASA Northern Cape Outreach โ€“ Day 1 ๐Ÿ’™

On Tuesday, 21 April, we officially kicked off our Northern Cape outreach trip with a series of impactful visits.

Our team had the privilege of engaging with key stakeholders at:
๐Ÿ“ Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital
๐Ÿ“ Elizabeth Conradie Special Education School
๐Ÿ“ The Sally Aucamp Home for Persons with Physical Disabilities
๐Ÿ“ Prof ZK Mathews Hospital

Day 1 was a great success as we established meaningful partnerships with these institutions. These collaborations will play a vital role in ensuring that quadriplegic and paraplegic individuals are able to access the support and services offered by QASA through membership.

We are encouraged by the positive reception and shared commitment to improving the quality of life and opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Stay tuned for more updates from our Northern Cape outreach!

๐Ÿšฆ Road Safety & Disability Awareness in Action! ๐Ÿšฆ

The QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA) recently had the privilege of delivering Road Safety and Disability Awareness presentations at Westville Senior Secondary School and Chapman High School.

Our QASA members shared powerful personal stories, highlighted the realโ€‘life impact of road crashes, and provided learners with practical pedestrian safety tips as well as important road safety advice for travelling in vehicles.

The learners were well informed, highly engaged, and eager to learn, making the sessions both meaningful and impactful.

Thank you to Westville Senior Secondary and Chapman High School for accommodating us and for your commitment to learner Road safety and Disability Awareness.

Together, weโ€™re building safer roads and more inclusive communities.
