High-Speed Chase Leads to Arrest
Monday, 09 February 2026
A high-speed pursuit resulted in the successful arrest of a suspected drug dealer following coordinated action by Mobi-Claw911 and Mobi-Response911
The Mobi-Claw911 Emergency Control Room was alerted by one of our volunteer responders regarding suspected drug-related activity in the Westville CBD area. The control room immediately activated our armed response division, Mobi-Response911, and multiple units were dispatched to the location.
Using live camera monitoring across Westville CBD, the suspect vehicle was quickly identified and tracked. When the driver realised he was being followed, he attempted to flee, initiating a high-speed chase that moved through Westville, Sydenham, Morningside, Berea, and eventually concluded along Stanger Street in Durban Central.
The suspect was successfully detained and found in possession of suspected co***ne with an estimated street value of approximately R10,000. SAPS and specialised drug units attended the scene, and follow-up investigations are already underway with positive developments.
These combined efforts highlight the importance of vigilant eyes and ears on the ground, supported by a coordinated, technology-driven response network.
