CONTRACEPTION AND FAMILY PLANNING RENEWAL PROGRAM.

Date 25 September 2025

Program was conducted by Civil Society Forum , Women's Sector Central Region at Ethekwini College, Asherville campus in conjuction with Sydenham Clinic staff / nurses

The main purpose of the event was to re enforce the importance of contraception and family planning, aiming at promoting reproductive health and supporting individuals in making informed choices about family planning.

Key aspects included:

1. Education and awareness about various contraceptive methods
2. Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections
3. Access to a range of contraceptive options
4. Availability of Female Condoms
5. Counseling and support services
6. Community outreach and engagement. focused on Women
7. Integration with Sydenham Clinic health care practioners.

Such programs outcome will assist in preventing unplanned pregnancies and reduce the rate of teenage pregnancies. Female condoms were given to women that attended the program event to also prevent the transfer of Sexual Transmitted Infections(STI's)

DBN Cental women's Sector aims to promote such programs in the broader Durban and ensure wide spread awareness. Women Sector Everywhere ✊✊💥💥
