FETAL POSITIONS 🤰👶
1️⃣ VERTEX (HEAD DOWN)
⬇️ Baby’s head is down, facing mom’s back
✅ BEST & MOST COMMON position for normal delivery
2️⃣ OCCIPUT POSTERIOR (OP)
🔄 Baby’s head is down but facing mom’s tummy
😖 May cause longer, more painful labor (“back labor”)
3️⃣ BREECH POSITION
⬆️ Baby’s head is up (feet or butt down)
⚠️ May require C-section if baby doesn’t turn
4️⃣ TRANSVERSE LIE
↔️ Baby is sideways in the uterus
❗ Not safe for vaginal delivery
5️⃣ OBLIQUE POSITION
↘️ Baby is at a diagonal angle
🔄 Usually changes before labor begins
6️⃣ FUN FACT 🤯
👶 Most babies naturally turn head-down by 32–36 weeks!
⚠️ REMEMBER: Doctors check baby’s position near delivery to ensure safety 💛
