Occupational Therapist Milanie Niemand has been providing support to people of all ages, backgrounds and medical conditions since she graduated in 2007. After two years of working in hospitals in the UK, she returned to gain experience in fields that vary from poverty-stricken community clinics, back and spinal cord rehabilitation hospitals and units, to corporate functional capacity evaluations, paediatrics and hand therapy.
“I have many passions and abilities and am excited about how Occupational Therapy brings so many of these together. Using compassion, empathy, scientific knowledge and practical skills, I love to help people to heal and thrive.
As a mother of two young girls I value and enjoy child development. As a ceramic artist and teacher I embrace and use the power of creativity and clay to heal and empower. And as a working, loving, living person I appreciate the need to have and to use our Two Hands.”
