When do organisations call an Industrial Psychologist?
Many leaders only discover what Industrial Psychology involves when they find themselves dealing with a difficult workplace situation.
It might be:
• a capable manager whose leadership style is creating tension in the team
• employees who are individually strong but struggling to work well together
• concerns about an employee’s performance or behaviour
• finding the right person for the right role
• assessing leadership potential when making important people decisions
Industrial Psychology focuses on understanding how people function in the workplace and helping organisations make thoughtful, evidence-based decisions about people.
I thrive on helping organisations understand these dynamics and find constructive ways forward. Sometimes, having an objective outside perspective can make these situations much easier to navigate.
