Let’s help Elaine Oakes Brenkman and her incredible team continue to change little lives in massive ways.

𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 Guardians of Hope SA .

This children’s place of safety here in East London cares for around 30 of our city’s most vulnerable little ones, from newborns to six years old. These are babies and toddlers who have been abandoned, medically fragile, or surrendered for adoption. Right now, they are facing a severe financial crisis and the possibility of closure by April 2026.

Founder Elaine Brenkman will be joining us to share what’s happening and what urgent support is needed.

Hello January!!!

We are back as of tomorrow 😊 It is going to be an adjustment trying to work again, but we are here and our team is ready (kinda)☺️.

Dr Donné Marais is on maternity leave and Dr Katherine Stickells will hit the ground running with the rest of the Nahoon Medical Practice team as of tomorrow. I will still be on leave until schools re-open.

This year is going to be a GOOD year 😊

Dr Katherine Stickells has officially joined our Nahoon Medical Practice family as from January 2026. She will be filling in for Dr Lombard whilst she is on maternity leave.

Our nature-enthusiasts are slowly taking over and we look forward to welcoming her to our team. I am sure she has much value to add to every consult on an academic level and I am really excited to form a small part of her medical journey as she explores private practice with us.

Welcome, Katherine! We look forward to our time together and hope to enjoy many cups of coffee, together with some of your homemade bakes as an added extra 😉
