After the depth of Saturday and the quiet of yesterday’s service, I woke up this morning feeling emotionally tired in a way I can’t fully explain. It’s as if my spirit is still catching up with everything God has been doing.
Our message came from Genesis 28, where Jacob found himself in a place he didn’t expect to be , alone, vulnerable, running from a mess he created.
And yet, right there, in the middle of uncertainty, God met him.
What struck me yesterday was this:
🌿 Trusting God is more than words , it’s surrender.
🌿 God is above whatever I’m going through.
🌿 Even when life feels messy and uncertain, His promise is the same:
“I am with you.” (Genesis 28:15)
My own faith journey has never been neat.
It’s been messy ,flawed decisions, repenting, learning, growing, and running back to God again and again.
And yet, He has never left me.
There is no message without a mess.
No testimony without the journey through uncertainty.
What comforts me today is knowing that even if I’m standing in a place I didn’t plan for , emotionally, spiritually, or even financially , God is still with me. He will protect me wherever this new week takes me.
Sometimes I make my own hard places…
but God uses those places to shape something in me.
So today, my prayer is simple:
Lord, help me surrender again.
Help me trust You in the mess,
in the uncertainty,
in the places where I feel tired or overwhelmed.
Thank You that You are with me , always.
Amen.
