Sleep – that elusive butterfly at the beginning of any motherhood journey.
As much as we need this to function optimally, its not always something that is up to us. From personal experience I am well aware of this. And getting the recommended 7-9 hours a night is just not always on the cards.
So we do the best we can.

But here are some sleep tips for you to get the best quality sleep, when you can:
😴Avoid blue light before bed (phones, TV’s, computer screens)
😴Try not to scroll on your phone during those midnight feeding sessions
😴Avoid caffeine in the hours leading up to bed time
😴Exercise, but not right before bed time
😴Create a quiet, peaceful sleep environment

Those swollen feet and ankles! What can you do to help ease the discomfort??
Oh my goodness do I remember these! In the end all I could wear were my slops.

Here is what worked for me, give them a try and let me know how it works:
👣Foot pumps
🚶‍♀️Go for a walk
💦Swinging my legs/feet in the pool
🚴‍♀️Riding my indoor bike
💤Lying with my feet up

Remember to keep an eye out for any abnormal swelling – especially sudden swelling of the face. If you experience this please contact your doctor immediately to discuss your individual situation.

East London based exercise classes, with a specialist exercise professional. Giving you peace of mind with the routine you complete while expecting.

We are also passionate about helping new moms get back to activity comfortably, and safely. And keep updating our knowledge on the female body and all the changes from pregnancy in order to give you the best advice possible.
