A ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป is a hole in the nasal septum caused by disruption of its blood supply, leading to cartilage damage. Perforations at the back of the nose may cause few symptoms, while those at the front can result in nasal blockage, crusting, recurrent nosebleeds, a whistling sound when breathing, pain, or discharge. Common causes include nasal trauma or surgery, nose picking, overuse of nasal sprays, co***ne use, inflammatory disease, infections, and rarely malignancy. Most cases are managed with saline sprays, humidification, and ointments, with surgery required only in selected cases.
