Two suspects apprehended for theft by officers.

This morning our Unit Commander and K9 team were driving on Settlersway, when they spotted a suspicious looking man carring what seemed like car parts.

They immediately stopped to investigate, when it was found that the vehicle parts were stolen. The suspect freely gave up the information where he had stolen the items. Our team followed up and arriving on the site, found another suspect stealing goods.

Both men were arrested and handed over to the SAPS, where a case has been opened. The suspects also freely gave us intel that they have been getting orders for car parts by a buyer. So guess who's next.

Vehicle jamming syndicate apprehended by intelligence driven operation.

Yesterday after gathering intelligence on a syndicate that has been commiting crimes throughout the Eastern Cape, mainly jamming vehicles and commiting theft.

A multi disciplined team was assembled when the vehicle was seen coming back into East London. Teams descended onto the vehicle, where two suspects were apprehended and false number plates were found, as well as, stolen laptops, break in tools and a jamming device. The suspects have had cases opened against them, vehicle impounded and are being linked to multiple crimes throughout the area.

Successful operation leads to the arrest of two suspects, one vehicle impounded, cable, trolleys, weapons and narcotics confiscated.

Last night in a combined operation with Fleet Street SAPS, Eco Scorpions and our teams.

The area under the station was targeted. Searches were conducted, foot and vehicle patrols were performed. Two suspects were arrested and their vehicle impounded. When the vehicle was stopped and searched by members. It was found that they had a car full of stolen copper cable in their possession. Weapons and trollies were also confiscated through stop and searches.

All around it was a great evening for crime fighting. Well done to all involved!

Crime prevention operation a success.

This morning the Red Alert Team and Fleet Street SAPS in a combined operation to combant crime trends.

Approached individuals that are causing problems in the CBD area of our town. The people concerned although seeming innocent have proved to be individuals that have reoffended in commiting crimes. From small opportunistic crime to major break-ins in the commercial and domestic sector, using stolen trolleys to transport stolen goods.

The operation proved fruitful in recovering shops stolen trolleys and recovering stolen goods. All personal were dealt with in the appropriate manner and action taken.

Joint operation leads to successful arrest.

This week a joint operation between our team and Fleet Street SAPS was performed in parts of the Sector. Where hot spot areas have been identified.

Officers performed stop and searches, visibly patrolled in vehicle's and on foot. Alot of information was gathered and one suspect was arrested in the act of munciple cable theft, with stolen goods in hand.
