At Stonehill Medical Centre, your safety is always our priority — and we’re proud to share that both our Stonehill Crossing and Dunvegan branches are now equipped with brand-new AED portable SERE-Heart Defibrillators.
These life-saving devices are designed to assist in emergencies involving cardiac arrest, for both adults and children, including paediatric cases. Fully portable and easy to operate, our AEDs ensure that immediate care can be provided right where it’s needed most.
Our doctors and nursing teams recently completed training to familiarise themselves with the devices — equipping them with the skills, confidence, and readiness to respond swiftly in critical moments.

Meet Dr. Gideon Hirschowitz – Our Newest Addition to the Stonehill Medical Centre Team!
We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Gideon Hirschowitz to the Stonehill Medical Centre family!
Dr. Hirschowitz graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2021 and brings with him a passion for Internal and Family Medicine. His approach to healthcare is rooted in compassion, thoroughness and dedication — always striving to provide the highest standard of care to every patient.
His clinical skills include performing minor surgical procedures and intra-articular injections, and he has a special interest in preventative medicine and holistic family care.
When he’s not in the consultation room, you’ll find Dr. Hirschowitz exploring the outdoors — hiking, game watching, and soaking up nature’s beauty. 🌄
