I have been doing some interesting reading lately.
I fully agree with the basis of this book that compassion shown by health care professionals directly impacts on patient treatment and outcome.
However, I strongly feel that our health care professionals do not have the coping skills needed to internalize patients emotions which is needed to respond with compassion. In order to be truly compassionate towards a patient, a health care professional needs to be able to process the patients emotions and their own. When already burnt out and emotionally raw, this becomes very difficult.

By walking daily, your mood will be uplifted, you will think clearer, and sleep better.

Bipolar mood disorder (BMD) is often a devastating diagnosis to have, however if managed correctly, you can continue to live life to the fullest.
BMD is characterised by the 2 poles, namely mania and depression.
Mania is the EXCESS of everything, heightened moods, decreased inhibitions, lack of sleep, increased substance use and bizarre behaviour.
Depression is the LACK of everything, feelings of emptiness, lethargy, physical weakness and apathy.
When uncontrolled, BMD can be crippling to any persons life. Your work is affected, your relationships are affected and your ability to care for yourself and your family is affected. Get support today, and start living your life to the fullest. You deserve it!
