The nervous system is always scanning for a threat, and if it perceives something as a threat it will go into a stress response.

But our nervous system perceives a threat based on what you have told your body .So your nervous system is only responding to the programming or input you have given it.

So we need to rewire this programming,and have a system restart. The body needs to feel safe before we can do that. Breathwork can both be the reset and the safety your body needs.

In breathwork and nervous system practises, the goal isn’t to eliminate these responses , it’s to increase your capacity to return to regulation (a calm, present state) after they activate.
