A massive THANK YOU to the incredible learners, staff, and community of Edenvale High School for organising a charity nappy drive for Edenvale Care Centre Hospice. Your kindness, energy, and willingness to show up for others will make a real and meaningful difference to the families we support every day.

Nappies might seem like a small thing, but in hospice care they bring dignity, comfort, and relief to patients and their caregivers. Because of you, we will be able to provide a little more comfort where it matters most.

We are endlessly grateful for young people who choose compassion, action, and community. Edenvale High, you have shown that big hearts live in your hallways!

Sometimes the universe sends you a reminder that kindness is alive and well and on Monday that reminder came in the form of HOT 102.7 FM❤️

A massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible team at Hot Cares 102.7 for their generous donation to Edenvale Care Centre Hospice. What might seem like “just a donation” is actually so much more, it’s comfort, dignity, relief, hope… and a reminder to everyone here that our community truly cares.

HOT 102.7 FM don’t just give things, you give people a moment to breathe again. You give caregivers encouragement to keep going. You give residents brighter days. And honestly, you sprinkle a little bit of magic wherever you go. ✨

It’s amazing to see how many lives you've touched, often quietly and behind the scenes. Today we just wanted to say: we see you, we appreciate you, and we are incredibly grateful.

🎨✨Bottling up Kindness✨🎨

We had the most wonderfully whimsical Saturday The Garden Gallery & Café, turning ordinary bottles into colourful little masterpieces!

With paintbrushes in hand and plenty of giggles along the way, we gathered under the creative guidance of Kathy van Holthoon, whose infectious enthusiasm made the day extra special.

Best of all, our arty adventure helped raise funds for the amazing Edenvale Care Centre Hospice, proving that a splash of paint (and a lot of heart) can make a beautiful difference 😍🥰😍

💝We are overflowing with gratitude and pride!💝

A huge, heartfelt thank you to 16 year old Krish Vaswani Nancy Gidwani Vaswani from St. John's College, who on his own initiative gathered two incredible friends, Adam Peer and Jason Joseph, and set out to make a difference. Earlier this month, these three remarkable young men raised an astounding R24 000 for Edenvale Care Centre Hospice at the beautiful Royal Johannesburg

And what a difference they have made!

With the proceeds, they:
✨ Purchased R10 000 worth of electricity for the Centre
✨ Settled our chemist bill — and even left us with credit
✨ Bought nappies to the tune of R4 000

This is what compassion in action looks like. This is leadership. This is heart ❤️❤️❤️

We are truly in awe of these young men and the kindness, maturity, and generosity they have shown. The future is brighter because of young men like Krish, Adam, and Jason.

Thank you for reminding us that love, initiative, and community spirit are alive and thriving. We are so very grateful. 💛

Feeling all the warm fuzziness 🥰 Our amazing patients were treated to their very own personal barber experience yes, a proper snip and style right here at the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice.

Huge, heartfelt thanks to the wonderful Penny 😇 from HAIR TIME 4 MEN for bringing not just her scissors, but her kindness, love and magic touch.

👟🌞👟Get ready for an absolutely fabulous morning at the Peter Pan Park, Dunvegan for a Charity 5km Fun Run/Walk on 1st March hosted by the Amazing 1st Sundays!👟🌞👟 We’ll be lacing up those takkies, stretching out those sleepy legs, and hitting the route with big smiles and even bigger hearts. From power-walkers to “just-here-for-the-fun” strollers, the vibe will be pure joy, laughter, and wonderful community spirit. Every step, shuffle, and cheerful chat will help support the work done by Edenvale Care Centre Hospice and it will be a beautiful reminder that when we move together, we make a difference together. So let’s show up, step out, and have some fun for a fantastic cause! 💙✨

And thanks to Lucy and Veli who stood in the rain, while I was all fingers and thumbs taking pics 😄 We truly appreciate your kindness, love and all the very special work you guys do 🤩🤩🤩

🙏A Heartfelt Thank You to the Yenkendess Family🙏

Today, our hearts were deeply touched by an act of love and generosity. The Yenkendess Family responded to our Facebook plea and donated much-needed cleaning supplies to Edenvale Hospice, a beautiful gesture made in loving memory of Tracey, who was called to rest on the 27th October 2023.

In honouring Tracey’s life, the Yenkendess Family has chosen to bring comfort and care to others every year, as a reflection of her kind and giving spirit. Their donation will help us continue to provide a clean, peaceful, and nurturing environment for our patients and their families.
