Creating awareness, support and info on Autism as we embark on Reuben's ASD journey

Today, on World Autism Day, I celebrate my incredible son, Reuben, and the beauty of neurodiversity. Autism is not a limitation—it’s a different way of seeing, feeling, and experiencing the world.

Reuben has taught me that joy can be found in the little things, that strength comes in many forms, and that love doesn’t always need words. His uniqueness is a gift, and I am beyond grateful for the privilege of being his mom.

To every autistic individual and every family walking this journey, you are seen, valued, and loved. The world is brighter because of the way you shine.

Our darling boy is growing up!
In fact he has said his first words!!! Not the typical "mama" or "papa" you'd expect, but in true neuro divergent fashion, his first words were counting from one to ten in English!!!

Today we had our very first support group meeting with moms who have special needs kids! This was such a special time, so needed and we can't wait for the next one!

Reuben is three today! And in his short three years he has impacted so many lives. He has brought communities together. He has educated students across the country. He has inspired and strengthened more people's faith than we'll ever know.
All in just three short years...
I am so proud of you Reuben, and man I can't wait to see the rest of your incredible life unfold.
Love, honesty, vulnerability, grace, acceptance, courage and determination has a deeper meaning since I've become your mom. I am so honored to be your mom, and to have a front row seat of how you're changing the world.

Reuben's journey has made me deeply aware of the importance of a strong support system for moms who are walking a similar path. We all know that this road can sometimes feel lonely and incredibly challenging.

Therefore I am absolutely thrilled to announce the birth of a beautiful group in the Witbank/Middelburg area - the Special Moms Support Group! 🤗 This group is a safe haven for all moms with special needs children, offering unwavering support, understanding, and a place to share experiences.
