Happy New Year! It's 2023 & I love how the start of a new year brings fresh beginnings & motivation!

This month I'll be posting one of our pilates repertoire exercises every day. Today I'm in Port Alfred on a very sunny, but windy day.

We're starting with the Pelvic Curl:
πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Feet are a fist width apart
πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Pelvis starts in the neutral position
πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Belly button is drawn gently in towards the spine
πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Arms are pressed strongly into your mat
πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Make sure you peel your spine off the mat one vertebra at a time
πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Lift the pelvis high without splaying your knees out
πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Peel down through your spine again, starting at your upper back & bringing your buttocks down last
πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Repeat 3-5 times for a beautifully mobile spine & strong deep abdominals
