Is it possible to travel back... Back to a simpler time, where each footfall carries us towards our destination? The pack on my back weights me to the earth, adding deliberation to each footstep. Stepping incorrectly has consequences immediately felt as my booted foot slips or plants steadily. My goals are humble - climbing the ridge, or arriving at the stream for lunch. Always trying to reassure myself... I can do hard things. And I did.

Genadendal weekend trail done... So much nature in great company. Totally humbled by the tough terrain. It looks pretty and it was pretty... Tough.
