✨ From Body Shame to Sacred Ground ✨
For years, I thought loving my body meant “accepting” it.
But true love goes deeper.
It isn’t passive. It’s rooted. It’s alive. It’s sacred.

In Ta**ra, we don’t ascend by leaving the body—we descend into it.
We enter the temple of skin, bone, breath, and s*x.
And at the very root of this temple is the base chakra—our gateway to safety, desire, and life force.

But here’s the truth I had to learn again and again:

The base chakra cannot open if we are at war with our bodies.
It cannot ground us if we’re trying to leave the flesh behind.

When we soften toward our “imperfections”…
When we make peace with our belly, our thighs, our yoni, our p***s, our scars…
When we stop trying to fix the body and start listening to it—
That’s when healing begins.
That’s when Kundalini stirs.

What is a Tantrika?​​​​​​​​
This is someone who adhere to the spiritual practices ( sadhana) of Ta**ra as a means of achieving liberation. Its derived from the root word Tan meaning "to weave or to expand" and tra meaning "to liberate". ​​​​​​​​

I consider myself a Tantrika, as for me, my sole purpose is always to liberate myself from aspects of myself that are in fear and against that part of me that wishes to be free. Much of this involves taking myself into my fears and places of discomfort through different approaches.. This lifetime has been dedicated to that purpose..​​​​​​​​

The main tenet of Ta**ra is not to negate any of life's experience whether good or bad. It's about allowing the full spectrum of experience in, so that our capacity to hold both pleasure and pain may expand.. Equally as you avoid pain, so too do you avoid pleasure, as the sensory system does not distinguish between either. This in itself is no easy task, especially when something seems so very personal.. This is the journey however and having the awareness and tools means that we keep getting back onto the horse, with taking ourselves to what not only feels pleasurable, but equally uncomfortable. ​​​​​​​​

Goddess worship also formed a part of ancient ta***ic practices, as a means of invoking the shakti energy; the power that makes the universe go around that lies dormant within each of us waiting to be awakened. This is an image of Kali.. the goddess of death and destruction and slayer of ego's. Her purpose is brutal awakening..She is not here to play nice.. ​​​​​​​​
