✨ A space created with intention ✨

Over the past few weeks I’ve been quietly building my new practice space from the ground up, pouring so much love and care into every detail. My vision was to create something that feels less like a clinic and more like a sanctuary — a place where the nervous system can soften the moment you walk in.

Inspired by nature, the space was designed to feel calm, grounded and safe, with natural textures, gentle colours and natural light to support the healing process.

I’m also excited to now have two dedicated acupuncture treatment rooms, allowing me to expand and continue holding space for the incredible patients I work with every day.

You can still find me at the Health Hub in Langham's, I have merely moved to the ground floor 🌱

I’ve been where many of my patients are: stressed, burnt out, and running on empty just to keep up with society’s “badge of honour” for being busy.

But the truth is — my mind and soul aren’t built for that life… and neither is yours. Nobody’s is.

One day it hit me: I needed stillness, slowness, grounding. 🌱 It was (and still is) a challenge to go against everything I’d been taught, to actually rest and do things that nourish me. But it’s the best daily work I’ve ever committed to.

This is something I ask my patients going through burnout:
💭 What is ONE thing you’ve always wanted to do that’s…
A) just for you (not work, parenting, or relationships)
B) something you’ve longed for but never made time for
C) something that makes you say, “this is mine”

And then — DO IT. Carve out the time. Protect it. Because your mental well-being and vital force are not luxuries… they’re the foundations of your happiness, your success, and your ability to show up in every part of your life.

🕊️ Many things can wait. You can’t.

Traditional fire-cupping therapy is a practice used to assist with releasing muscle spasm and pain, assisting with migraines and respiratory issues such as asthma.

Did you know acupuncture is safe to use during pregnancy?

Acupuncture In pregnancy can be used to assist with:

1. Morning sickness and hyperemesis gravidarun
2. Fatigue
3. Low mood or anxiety
4. Correcting the position of your baby if they are I'm breach or other incorrect position
5. Assist during labour to regulate contractions, assist with pain management
6. Assist in the 4th trimester: pain management, mastitis, post partum depression and anxiety, insomnia, nightmares

Part 2 of things you're possibly doing incorrectly when intermittent fasting 👀

Each body type has an ideal form of fasting to follow, and if you're following the incorrect schedule you won't achieve the results you want!

Another common mistake that I see many people make, is incorrect portion sizes because the good they're eating is considered healthy.

Certain healthy foods are higher in calories than unhealthy foods, but are recommended for better health and well-being. In these Cases just be sure to watch your portion sizes. Foods such as butternut, chickpeas and carrots don't necessarily have a limit as they're super healthy and low In calories. Dates are healthier than a sweet, but can have more calories. In this case, limit your number to a single date to satisfy your sweet craving.

As with anything, always confirm with your health care professional before starting any diet or if you have any dietary concerns 👩‍⚕️

Today we focus on part 1 of why you're not getting the results you're looking for when intermittent fasting.

Part 1 today is looking at the hormonal influences that come into play when intermittent fasting. When fasting, we are ultimately putting our bodies under an accepted level of stress in order to lose weight.

These changes are positive in certain population groups, however those with high cortisol levels, oestrogen dominance and a tendency towards an underactive/sluggish thyroid might notice a difficulty in losing weight when fasting, or on the other end of the spectrum, GAINING weight when fasting.

Next week we'll be chatting about non-hormonal factors that play a roll in preventing getting the results you want from intermittent fasting.
